Skin AI Checker ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS application that analyzes skin photos using artificial intelligence to provide personalized skincare insights. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell your data, track you across apps, or use your information for advertising.
Data We Collect
- Skin photos — images you take or select for analysis
- Skin type preference — stored locally on your device
- Skin diary entries — mood, water intake, sleep, and notes you voluntarily add
- Analysis history — scan results stored locally on your device
How We Use Your Data
- Skin photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered skin analysis
- Analysis results are stored locally on your device using SwiftData
- Diary entries are used to personalize analysis recommendations
- App preferences are stored in device settings (UserDefaults)
Third-Party Services
The app uses Anthropic Claude API to perform skin analysis. When you initiate a scan, your photo is transmitted securely over HTTPS to Anthropic's servers for processing. The photo is used solely to generate the analysis response and is not stored or used for training by Anthropic under their API terms.

No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.
Data Storage & Security
- All analysis results, diary entries, and photos are stored locally on your device
- Data is protected by iOS device encryption and the app sandbox
- Photos sent for analysis are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- We do not operate any servers that store your personal data
Data Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time:
- Individual scans: swipe left on any history item → Delete
- All app data: iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Skin AI Checker → Delete App
Since we hold no data on our servers, deletion from your device is complete and permanent.
Children's Privacy
Skin AI Checker is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can delete it.
